Attorney Luz D. Nieto received her bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Florida Atlantic University and her law degree from Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad Law Center.
Ms. Nieto served as Victim’s Advocate with the Family Violence section of the Palm Beach County State Attorney’s office. Ms. Nieto completed a Family Law Judicial Clerkship in the 17th judicial circuit. Ms. Nieto also held the position of Lead Article Editor for the ILSA Journal of International & Comparative Law and was a coach and advocate for the International Law Moot Court Team, Jessup.
Ms. Nieto is committed to making the legal process one that focuses on supporting families through transitions and crises to help make the family relationship stronger, rather than destroying it with prolonged legal battles. Ms. Nieto places a strong emphasis on community involvement and is a committee member of the Weston Bar Association, as well as a member of the Family Law Section, International Law Section and Real Property, Probate Law Section of the Florida Bar and is a member of the Broward County Bar Association and American Bar Association.
Ms. Nieto is fluent in both English and Spanish.
